For the purpose of game and fish regulations, the definition of "resident" is expanded to include a youth who resides with and is under the guardianship of a person who is a resident.

H2433: G&F; TROPHY DEFINITION; REPEAL

Deletes the definition of "trophy" from game and fish statutes. The civil penalty for the unlawful taking, wounding or possessing a trophy animal applies only to bighorn ship and bison, and animals that were previously defined as trophy due to antler size are grouped with their species for the purpose of the civil penalties. does not relieve or affect the liability of a person who has been assessed a civil penalty for illegally taking, wounding, killing or possessing a trophy animal under statute as in effect before the effective date of this legislation. HCM2005: NATIONAL MONUMENT DESIGNATION; OPPOSITION

The Legislature urges the U.S. Congress to decline to designate the Great Bend of the Gila River and the surrounding areas as a national monument. The Secretary of State is directed to transmit copies of this memorial to the President of the U.S., the President of the U.S. Senate, the Speaker of the U.S. House, each member of Congress from Arizona, the Secretary of the Interior and the Governor.
